What’s your story?

I was recently asked that, and I don’t know about you, but that’s a loaded question for me. What’s my story? Well, which one do you want? I have many stories.

I’m a mom.

A single mom.

A single mom of a neurodivergent child.

I’m a daughter, sister, and friend.

A fiercely loyal friend.

I’m a trauma victim.

I’m a trauma survivor.

I’m a Christian.

I’m a skeptic.

I’m an ally.

I’m full of faith and hope…most days.

I’m privileged, but struggle.

I’m tenacious and strong.

I’m an athlete.

A “beast.”

A lover of cookies.

An incredibly handy builder of things.

I’m an artist, some years more than others,

but always observing colors, shapes, and form

I’m a teacher and encourager.

An example…both of right and wrong.

I’m a lover of people.

I am all of these things and more every day. My stories shape my choices, and I hope I make the right ones.

We are told that taking care of our bodies is as simple as moving more and eating a bit less. What I have learned over the years is that how we move and eat is deeply influenced by our history and emotionally charged for most of us, whether we know it or not. Our stories dictate our choices…when we allow it.

The powerful reality is that we have the opportunity each day to accept our stories as they are and allow them to influence us, or to reframe them and become authors of our next chapter.

What part of your story is holding you back? There are pieces we hold onto- the ones that mold us and shape us, and there are pieces that no longer serve us that should be left in the past.

These beliefs are exactly the kind of thing I work though in The Diet Code, my VIP Nutrition Coaching Program. I know from experience that you need meal plans, recipes, and workouts, but I know that you need SO MUCH MORE to truly break through the barriers that have been holding you back.

That’s why I’m offering a new mini training- straight from my Diet Code Workbook- on identifying limiting beliefs and how to break free from the stories that are holding you back. You can get instant access to your copy here.

So tell me… what’s your story?
